Work: Discovery and Exploration

Proposal: A unique sculptural book using Discovery and Exploration by Frank Debenham, using sections from the book including Magellan’s round the world trip and other explorations from prehistoric to modern times. This altered book is held in a vintage globe stand with half the globe. The overall dimensions are 40x40x40cm.

Previous Work and Experience

Lynette Willoughby and Clare Wigzell collaborate in making a broad range of artist’s books ranging from large sculptural pieces and large concertina books through to small notebooks, scrumpled trees and psychogeography guides. They particularly respond to the physical landscape of trees and rocks but are also fascinated and stimulated by maps, literature and a sense of playfulness.
